Starting work

Pretty quick here I'll be getting my video. I can find supplements pretty easy online, I just need a few key clips of myself to start work on my project. For the past week I've been putting in like 12 hours a day for this essay thats due tomorrow, so after tomorrow I'll have a little more time to put into the project. I think it'd get done very quickly if I had time to just sit down and do it all at once, but theres just an hour here and an hour there, hard to budget time. Last night I actually didn't even sleep, trying to put this essay together, so I'm dead on my feet right now trying to stay awake through class. haha, I nodded off as I was holding the mouse reading something on the screen, and my hand slipped and smashed the mouse into the keyboard, only two people were in the class then, it was like 10:10am but they both looked at me like I was going to snap or something. It was pretty humourous. Anyways, class is getting started pretty quick. Peace

Adobe Premier

Well, I'll be making an edited video in Premier for the next project in New Media. I am not particularly looking forward to it, because I have never even seen the program before. Regardless, there'll be a video soon. What I'm thinking about is either a video of me learning... haha sounds pretty cheese, but I think it'll pretty much be a slide show of metaphors for enlightenment, and filmed around the university, mainly the library. I want to put it to Disturbed - Liberate. Otherwise, I might just slip together a bunch of clips from ebaumsworld, or collegehumour, or the like. That is also a good option, either way, I need to hustle my ass on the video. Today or tomorrow for sure. Sucks cus I have a term paper due next week that I'm working on too. Oh well, don't I always have something due the next week eh? I definitely have been busting my ass the past month though, and it sucks cus it seems like nothing ever gets done at the same time.

Crunch Time

After all my neglect, working on a research paper, my website has jumped back from my peripheral. The full thing is due on friday, well actually today, and its a busy week for me. This has been a very fair timeline, it is purely my fault, the situation I'm in, so I can't be frustrated. I'll try and get r done today, I'm sure I could if I need to. Yikes, I thought crunch time was supposed to be at the end of the semester!

Overload

I feel like I can't possibly do all my work. I think that if I get one more project to complete this month, I'm going to just not do it and take the grade hit. This is ridiculous. I have 30 pages of essay to write!! It is completely insane. Since I love photoshop, I look forward to getting to work on my website, but at the same time, I feel like I am slacking when I do that project, because I have others that are so much more labour intensive that need to get done. I just can't win. But, this isn't the first tie i've felt like this, and I got r done, so I should be able to handle it.

Breaking Limbo

I have been pretty stagnant lately on my webpage. It seems that I spend a lot of time working on it, but the only thing getting done is colour and shape fine-tuning on my index page. I just can't get the right feel I want I guess. I went through the printouts of the website design lectures this morning and I think they'll help me get back on track. I spent way too much time on a logo that has nothing to do with my banner, so I'm going to scrap that and start over on it (the logo that is, my banner kicks ass). As well, I don't think there is enough white space, my entire background is grey, so I might trim that up. I am a little confused about the dimensions, because for the Creative website we practiced cutting up (the one with the blimp), the page was 763pixels, but the layout on our handout guide says 800, so im not sure if it matters or not--mine is 750px. I also didn't realize we were expected to have a counter. So obviously I was in limbo, but my realizations will help me escape. I suppose I had a writer's block, but a designing block. Anyways, I better get to'r.

Webpage Design

I am slightly confused here. I am not sure what is due on Friday! I know that the 'webpage design' is due. But does that mean just what it will look like once it is online, i.e. just the photoshop work? Or do we have to cut it apart and create all our buttons and whatnot by Friday. I think whether or not all the button and rollover work is due on friday is a big difference, and a lot of work. I probably won't have it all done by Friday if it is. I Should email Michael pretty quick and find out, arg! Heavy work load right now! I'm bogged down in my Writing 3850 class with a big presentation due on Tuesday and all the readings, plus a 4000word research paper to start in the same class, and a Soci test soon....... the list can go on and on. I feel like I am going to collapse!

Procrastination

How come I never procrastinate when I play video games? If I'm going to game, I am there, right on it, gettin r' done. If I have to do a bunch of reading..say 150 pages by tuesday, plus a project, I blog instead. I think that we are programmed to take the easiest route, by way of travelling, manual labour, cooking a meal; and since doing your homework is hard, we automatically decide upon an easier way of passing time, by doing mindless activities like looking through pictures, eating, or playing video games. I am never going to get that 3.9gpa if i keep this up. god ****it.
